Perspective is Wonderful
This quote sums up my life perfectly. “You can’t know joy unless you’ve known sorrow. Those of us who can soar to the highest heights can also plunge to the deepest depths” -Miss Stacey

Let’s talk about something we all relate to: QUARANTINE. Do you remember when you didn’t think twice about going to school, work, or church? Neither can I. I used to put on this facade that nothing got to me, but I absolutely hated high school and internally complained every day. Now that I’m in college and have been online for over a year, I miss being in a classroom trying to be the first to answer questions and outsmarting teachers. I no longer take school for granted and cherish every opportunity to learn, despite how or where. In terms of work, I’m just grateful to be employed, even though I don’t work nearly as much as I did, because so many people lost their jobs completely. Since I haven’t physically been to church I’m over a year, my faith has been challenged, but not in the ways you think. Before, I used to just go through the motions because I’ve never had a choice in whether I attended or not. Now that mass is online, it’s up to me to make that decision. Not gonna lie, there are days I don’t feel like watching, multitask, or nearly forget; but God knows I’m trying my best and making an effort.

If you change your perspective, you can see the beauty in tragical things. It all depends on how you look at it. Through my trials in life, the hardest things were a blessing in disguise (I’ll save those for another post). I’ve learned what’s really important in life: not letting others dictate your worth or happiness. Yes, it’s normal to need reassurance every now and then when your struggling, but if you define how you view yourself based on truth, you will always be enough!
I’ll leave you with another quote from Anne with an E: “Perspective is wonderful”.
